Guide to Finishes
Polished
The surface has an even, smooth and highly reflective
surface. Not recommended for shower floors or external use.
Gloss
A highly reflective glazed and high sheen finish. Not
recommended for shower floors or external use.
Matt
A natural, non- glossy finish.
Satin
A smooth surface which reflects more light than a matt finish but it is
not glossy. It is classed as a mid-sheen finish. Not recommended for
shower floors.
Rectified
The tile is cut to size after the firing process. This ensures the tiles are
more accurate in size in comparison to non-rectified. Rectified floor
tiles must be laid with a grout width of 2-3mm.
Aged/Antiqued
The stone is tumbled then distressed and additional ad hoc processes
may be added to enhance the aged appearance.
